The Lodge is a stately 1880’s home that is now dedicated to bringing people interested in all aspects of the arts together. It is retreat, a workplace and a gallery in an island environment that is uniquely inspiring.

“Get away from it all.” Board the ferry at Millhaven and cross the Bay of Quinte to Amherst Island. It is magical - with a tranquil mood, peaceful and inspiring. Amherst Island is shoreline, pasture, woodlands, quiet perimeter roads and one small community, Stella.

The Lodge offers gracious accommodation plus varied spaces for large and small groups. There are many spots to visit, read, or just look out at the water. Enjoy a classic “lodge” style room with wood stove, games table and many seating areas, a dining room that has many flexible seating arrangements. There is also a large sunroom that is popular for classes and receptions.

April through November The Lodge and its cottages are available for regular booking. December through March special arrangements can be made for holiday gatherings, workshops, and other events.
